Designing your space for the Spring season can be so refreshing. Spring is a time to really simplify and clear out your space that the winter months seem to fill with all your cozy treasures. I love to organize, deep clean, and introduce a fresh feel of simplicity within the walls of my home. Here are a few of my favorite design trends that I'd like to share with all of you! Enjoy and I hope you feel inspired by some of these ideas.

Natural Lighting. Time to put away your curtains, open your windows and allow your home to experience the beauty of natural lighting. Consider hanging some woven blinds or sheer curtains, or even keep your windows completely bare, to invite in the light. I love an empty simple window. Not only does this give you that beautiful natural light, but this offers you health benefits as well... increased serotonin! Given the year we are coming out of and all the time spent inside, give yourself and treat and let that light in.

Live Plants. If you are like me, I have traditionally gone for the faux plants being a busy mom and healthcare professional, however, this years trends are challenging us to introduce live plants to our decor. Since many of us have been working from home, caring for these plants can give you a sense of peace and inner joy. The natural light will help to create a positive space for your plants to thrive, and you will also get to experience some of the healthy good stuff as well: purified air and mood improvement!

Natural Textiles. Woven and natural textures are very hot right now. Baskets and wood on your walls, counters, and shelfs are all the rage right now. I also love the woven placemats and wicker lamps! You can see some of my Target finds below. They fit so beautifully with the natural light and live plants as well. Bringing an element of nature, comfort and basic beauty to your style. It's as if we are all enjoying bringing the outside in... I know I sure am!

Neutral Colors with a Pop of Color. If you haven't heard of Aegean Teal by Benjamin Moore, it's simply beautiful and looks stunning with your natural spring design palette. Aegean Teal is one of the top 2021 paint colors (color 2136-40) that makes my heart swoon! Teal with your layered linens, white sheers, natural light, and natural textiles... dreamy in any room.
